Endoscopic Endonasal Skull Base Dissection Course

NB: The course is limited to 14 participants so please register using link and pay for the course to confirm your place.

Link to register.

Over 4 days, between 9-12 October 2023, the skull base cadaveric course will cover the full spectrum of endoscopic endonasal approaches to the skull base. There will be a focus on high yield endoscopic endonasal surgical approaches and their relevance to specific disease processes including pituitary adenomas, tuberculum sella meningiomas, craniopharyngiomas, skull base malignancies, skull base sarcomas (chordomas and chondrosarcomas) and petroclival meningiomas among other pathologies.  There will also be lectures and dissection time on open approaches.

New to this year, we have added an extra day which will include transorbital approaches and in addition for the ENT surgeons, open approaches to the frontal sinus.

An overview of contemporaneous open skull base approaches will be provided by the course organisers to allow the participants to work towards developing a comprehensive 360-degree view of the skull base

In addition to discussing the technical nuances for the high yield endoscopic approaches, the course will feature multiple 3-D anatomy lectures and review of illustrative operative videos by the invited in-house and remote international faculty. There will be 2:1 participant to anatomical specimen ratio. To maximise the educational value of the course, the course is limited to 14 participants with a strong emphasis on close mentoring of the participants by the invited and the local assisting faculty.
